If you are interested in off road riding, networking with other riders, protecting your riding areas, or hare scramble and cross country racing, you owe it to your self to attend. Please find the time to attend our meeting. We would love to meet you. The meeting is scheduled for 1 hour club business and 1 hour networking or watching motorcycle video. GAMP GSMG Volunteers

Greetings to everyone interested in building a sustainable recreational trail system!
The Ghost Stewardship Monitoring Group (GSMG) is taking steps towards building a sustainable trail network in the Ghost Forest Land Use Zone. Our next step involves a ‘Trail Inventory’.
Trail Inventory is a trail planning process used to create a trail system wherein we define the overall trail objectives, look at what parameters govern the actual terrain the trail will follow, laying out the specific path that a trail will follow, and assessing water courses, soils, slopes and vegetation. The trail design will attempt to maximize user enjoyment and will ensure the trail will be as much self-sustaining as possible with minimum maintenance and the least environmental impact possible for future generations to enjoy. Trail Inventory does not involve the actual construction or improvement of a trail.
Trail Inventory process is to be used for:
- evaluating and improving existing trails
- re-routing trails along a new sustainable path
- reclaiming and closing un-sustainable trails
- building new trails within the given parameters
- improving the recreational experience and opportunities for all users
As such, attached to this message is a template for a Trail Inventory Resume that we would like for you to complete and return to us if you are serious about helping to plan the trails of the future. Once we have an idea of what skills are available amongst the volunteers, we will tailor Trail Inventory training to the group of people interested in this task, and start taking inventory of the Ghost FLUZ trails.
Please be aware that this is a very different type of activity than other trail stewardship activities which you may have partaken in the past. It is not for everybody. In fact, we don’t need a huge number of people to do this. But we need the right people. If you are more comfortable on the working end of a chain saw, shovel, or bull-dozer than you are looking at soils, water courses, measuring slopes, and documenting what you see, then maybe this isn’t for you. We need both types of people to design and build sustainable trails.
Please consider this carefully and decide how you can best help the entire community build sustainable trails. If you have some of the right skills and wish to volunteer to help us in this first step towards the new trail system in the Ghost FLUZ, please express your interest to the GSMG by returning the completed resume of your skills.
We would like your resume as soon as possible so we can make training plans, however we will never turn away a volunteer that wants to help. All instructions for completing the resume and returning it to the GSMG are in the attached template.
